Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday met with a delegation of the United Russia Party (UR) led by Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council.
Xi, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, met with the delegation at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Congratulating Gryzlov on the success of the United Russia Party's 19th congress, Xi noted that China and Russia have formed strong strategic support which is of great significance to maintaining world peace and development.

Xi said that China and Russia should continue their lasting friendship and stand firm in deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between the two countries.
The CPC and the UR have maintained close ties, and their interactions have played a positive role in enhancing mutual trust and safeguarding world peace and development, he added.
Gryzlov, for his part, said that Russia-China relations have reached an unprecedented high level and have become an exemplar of relations between major countries.
The coordination between Moscow and Beijing in resolving major global issues has become a key factor in ensuring international stability and security, he stressed, adding that the UR is ready to strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, further developing a comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era between Russia and China.
