66,000 pots of chrysanthemum lure tourists in Shenzhen

The 35th Chrysanthemum Exhibition kicked off in Donghu Park, also known as East Lake Park in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday. Over 66,000 pots of chrysanthemum are on display, drawing large crowds of residents and tourists.

The fragrant flowers in multiple colors and varieties have created vibrant and artistic space for visitors. This year's exhibition also features special background decoration with bamboo curtain paintings, cloth paintings and poetry, adding a cultural charm to the blooming flowers.

Constructed in 1961, Donghu Park houses amusement parks, zoos and art galleries as well as other entertainment facilities. It receives local citizens who come for exercise and leisure daily.

The Chrysanthemum Exhibition has become an annual event since 1984. This year's event lasts until December 10 and is free.
