Leaders of South Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, have agreed to upgrade their strategic partnerships. During a two-day summit in the South Korean city of Busan which began on November 25, South Korean President Moon Jae-in addressed the ASEAN leaders, calling for solidarity to cope with various economic challenges, including protectionism.
