At least nine people were killed and 29 others injured after a coach developed a mechanical fault and fell into a deep ditch while traveling from Ormara to Karachi in Pakistan on Tuesday, local media reported, citing the Assistant Commissioner Bela Jameel Baloch.
The deceased and injured were shifted to PNS Darman Jah hospital in the port city of Ormara and added that further information was being collected. Details of the victims are yet to be shared.
Levies forces — paramilitary law enforcement organizations — arrived at the site of the accident and participated in the rescue and first aid operations alongside the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Coast Guard and Navy, Baloch added.
