Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities on Saturday revealed details of recently discovered animal mummies, saying they contain five lion cubs as well as several cats, birds and crocodiles. Mostafa Wazeri, secretary-general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, described the discovery of the lion mummies as "the most lovely surprise." He also highlighted a stone scarab, a type of beetle, believed to be the largest of its kind ever found.
