Woman sentenced to 46 months in jail over Mong Kok rioting charges

A young woman convicted of two charges of rioting for her involvement in the 2016 Lunar New Year riot in Mong Kok was sentenced to 46 months of imprisonment by a Hong Kong court on Tuesday.

Amy Pat Wai-fun, 24, was accused of digging up bricks and throwing items into the fire in the rioting case.

She was also suspected of being involved in the assault on a reporter from the Chinese mainland at the Hong Kong International Airport in August.
