Backing into the spotlight: Black rodeo cowboys

"Still to this day, people – all they see is a white cowboy or a white cowgirl. That's the only image they have. What we're trying to do is change that," Valeria Howard-Cunningham, president and owner of the Bill Pickett Rodeo, said.

In the American "Wild West," it is estimated that nearly one-third of cowboys were black. However, their history and legacy has often been forgotten. And here's how an all African-American rodeo is bringing black cowboys back into the spotlight.
