Snow blankets NW China's Qinling Mountains

Qinling Mountain in northeast China's Shaanxi Province has become a winter wonderland after a heavy snowstorm swept through the area Monday night.

The forest and mountains were blanketed with thick snow reaching as high as 15 centimeters, contrasting finely with roads and flowing streams.

Up close, tree branches and small wooded areas were coated in rime.

Many tourists drove to the scenic spot which is 2,299 meters above sea level to enjoy the white-painted landscape.
