Hong Kong police have announced they have reopened public access to the Polytechnic University after protesters blocked it for 12 days. The standoff at the university was one of the most dramatic episodes in six months of protests. The damage is extensive and the cost of repairs is not yet known. University authorities say the campus has been affected more than anywhere else in Hong Kong. They will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the safety of the campus and the school's property.
