The Thai children walking on a zebra crossing look as if they are floating on white blocks suspended in midair – but it is just an optical illusion, created by a volunteer group aimed at making roads safer for pedestrians. Up close, the optical illusion disappears, but for drivers approaching the crossing, the sight of people apparently floating forces them to slow down and stop.
