Ruins of a three-hectare granary which might date back to 4,000 years ago have been discovered recently in central China's Henan Province.

The ancient storehouse was found in Huaiyang County of Zhoukou City, and is considered the relics of the Longshan Culture, a late Neolithic civilization in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.

The discovery is important for the study of ancient social system and civilization, according to researchers.
