Chinese archaeologists discovered a large group of ancient tombs dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of northwest China.
The complex, which includes more than 100 tombs, is the first of its kind discovered so far in east Xinjiang's Hami City.
Archaeologists discovered the site this July and so far excavated 62 tombs with different designs.
Relics including clay pots, gold and silver coins, and bronze mirrors have been unearthed from the site, now listed as a key area of historical and cultural relics under special national protection.
