In southeast France, Var and Alpes-Maritimes were hit again by "dangerous weather," with the heavy rains hitting just a week after another deluge killed several people on the French Riviera. Météo-France issued a Red Alert over torrential rain and severe flooding for Alpes-Maritimes and several areas, forecasting heavy rainfall throughout much of Sunday.
