"At This Moment: Celebration of 70th Anniversary of National Day" opened to the public at the second Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF).

The film is produced by China Media Group (CMG) and is expected to reach over 3 billion people. It's also a "live-broadcast film," which combines live TV and cinematic elements.

The film commemorates the celebration for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Seventy cinemas across the country connected 4K ultra-HD signals from CMG through satellite transmission, and simultaneously show the film to the audiences on China's National Day.

The film was released in multiple languages, including Cantonese and five ethnic minority languages and six foreign languages, and debuted in theaters across the country on November 15.

"Hainan's development is an important witness to China's reform and opening-up over the past four decades. CMG will strive to create more films with profound ideas, exquisite art and excellent production with the spirit of excellence, meticulousness and pursuit of perfection," CMG President Shen Haixiong said.

The Second Hainan Island International Film Festival is being held in Sanya, Hainan Province from December 1 to December 8. It's the first year organizers given out "Golden Coconut Awards" for feature films, documentary films and short films, as well as a specially established "Best Children's Film" award. A total of 1,495 films from 80 countries and regions have signed up for the festival.
