61-year-old Debbie Karemer said undergoing sex change from female to male 17 years ago is her "biggest regret." She claimed she began her private testosterone treatment just a day later after consulting a private doctor about her decision, and removed her breasts after three months – starting an 11-year journey to becoming a man. Later on, she discovered that sexual abuse and the ensuing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) had led her to make the decision. She has recently gone back to identifying as a woman.
