At least four people were killed and 10 others injured after a factory explosion in Shunyi District, a suburban area in northeast Beijing, on Tuesday, local authorities said.

The incident occurred at around 3:07 a.m. local time and the fire at the scene has been extinguished.

The cause of the incident was not immediately clear. Investigation is still underway.
