China has banned U.S. military ships and aircraft from stopping at Hong Kong SAR until further notice. It has also sanctioned several American-based NGOs in the region following an escalation in tensions between the two countries last week. Victor Gao, CGTN's current affairs commentator, said the hostility by the U.S. against China is neither helpful for China-U.S. relations, nor for increasing cooperation on international issues.
