A drunk man opened fire at passersby in the Russian city of Perm, killing a woman and injuring two men, the Perm regional office of the Russian Investigative Committee said Wednesday.
A 50-year-old local resident with a criminal record became intoxicated early in the morning, took a hunting rifle he owned illegally, and opened fire in his apartment, it said in a statement.
He then went out to the street and started shooting, causing a fatally wounding a woman and injuring a pedestrian and a driver of a National Guard vehicle.
The man was later detained and the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against him for murder on the grounds of hooliganism.
