Two killed, 30 injured in college fire in southern Ukraine

Two people have been killed, 30 injured and 13 others are still missing in a fire that broke out on Wednesday in a college building in Odessa, southern Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Odessa Region said Friday.

As of Friday morning, the fire has been extinguished, and search and rescue operations are underway at the site, authorities said. The total area of the fire exceeded 3,000 square meters.

As reported by state news agency Ukrinform, the fire broke out on Wednesday at 10:12 a.m. local time (0812 GMT) on the third floor of a six-story building on the Odessa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business campus. About 400 people were in the building at the time.
