A Hong Kong resident who got 10 stitches in his head after surviving a deadly attack at the hands of an unidentified rioter while he was clearing roadblocks in Mong Kok area on December 1, recalled the horror while speaking exclusively with CGTN. Liu said: "Even when you try to help clean up the road, you will be beaten up by the protesters. Is this the 'freedom' and 'democracy' they want?"
