China is a world leader in facial recognition technology. It is now used widely across the country to facilitate a number of tasks, such as making payments and passing through airport security. This week, China introduced the usage of facial recognition in sim card purchase. The idea is to help tackle fraud and cyber crime. But the Western media have used this opportunity to criticize China and its facial recognition technologies.

Why are the foreign media coming down so heavy on China when they use the technology themselves? On this week's "Headline Buster," we dissect the latest headlines and talk to our guests about the issue. You'll also have the chance to interact with CGTN and our special guests in real-time and have your comments appear onscreen. Get in touch via the official CGTN accounts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Weibo.

"Headline Buster" airs every Friday at 10:30 a.m. Beijing time, 2:30 a.m. London time, 5:30 a.m. Nairobi time and 9:30 p.m. Thursday Washington time on CGTN's official Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Weibo accounts. Let's hold the foreign media accountable for their coverage of China in "Headline Buster."
