A magnitude-4.5 earthquake struck the Fengnan District of Tangshan City, north China's Hebei Province on Thursday morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The quake took place at around 8:02 a.m. local time with tremors felt in parts of Beijing and Tianjin.
The epicenter was monitored at 39.31 degrees north latitude and 118.04 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
