Beijing: Tariffs must be lowered for 'phase-one' agreement

Beijing has reiterated its stance that some U.S. tariffs must be rolled back for a phase-one deal. A Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesperson made the comment on Thursday as a new round of U.S. tariffs is set to kick in on December 15, covering about 156 billion dollars' worth of Chinese imports.
