Fourteen people were killed and more than 20 injured after a passenger bus rammed into a bridge support beam in Mexico early on Thursday, local media reported.

They said ten of the victims died on the spot and the injured were hospitalized.

The crash happened on the Delicias-Saucillo highway in the state of Chihuahua.

The driver lost control of the vehicle which rolled over after the crash and was heavily damaged.

The cause was not immediately clear.
