One bookstore in Beijing is offering its patrons a unique browsing and reading experience. Gothic windows, wooden beams and European-style chandeliers give character to the Mofan Bookstore in Beijing. The building was reconstructed from a 112-year-old Chinese Anglican Church and has been attracting visitors from near and far for its novelty. But, some people visit the bookstore only to take photos and upload them on to social media without paying attention to the books or reading.
Diehard reading fans insist that the core function of a bookstore cannot be replaced by its appearance and service.
