Better known as the "Clock Doctor", Liu Shuli has been repairing mechanical watches for more than 30 years. He's one of the best known horologists in all of China.

In his clock shop located in Dongsi, people can find almost all kinds of watches and clocks, from antique to modern. Here, everybody can see what the masters are doing behind the transparent glass counter.

His master told him, "if you want to excel at horology, you must have the best tools." So he visits Europe once a year to collect the best ones.

Throughout his career, Liu has brought more watches and clocks back to life than he can count. His craftsmanship and devotion have attracted many clock and watch collectors who share the same love for horology.

Liu says horology is an art and also a culture, and feels he has a responsibility to spread it.
