Bird watching season arrives in Shangri-La
00:50

A nature reserve in Shangri-La County has turned into a paradise for birds as flocks of migratory birds settled at Napa Lake for the winter season. Here, birds such as black-necked cranes, ruddy shelducks, white-tailed eagles, and black storks are resting on the frozen lake, foraging or flying, giving the snow and ice-covered lake vitality. Covering about 2,400 hectares, the Napa Lake Nature Reserve is home to more than 30,000 birds of more than 200 species.
