China's two new high-speed railway lines start joint test runs

China on Wednesday started to test two high-speed railway lines which are expected to go into operation by the end of this year. The two railway lines are the 174 km one connecting Beijing with Zhangjiakou City in north China's Hebei Province, and the 286.8 km one connecting Zhangjiakou with Hohhot in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
