15 killed as fire engulfs passenger bus in SW Pakistan

At least 15 people were killed and one other injured when fire engulfed a passenger bus following its head-on collision with a van in Zhob district of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province on Friday, a local official said.

The incident happened in the wee hours of the morning when the van's driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit the bus coming from the opposite direction in Kan Mehtarzai area of the district located northeast of provincial capital Quetta.

Both people on the van and 13 people on the bus were burnt beyond recognition. One of the bus passengers jumped off the vehicle and survived, but with serious injuries. He has been moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.
