The footage captured by survivors showed a large plume of ash rising into the sky following an eruption on White Island in New Zealand on Monday. A team of elite New Zealand soldiers began a risky operation Friday to recover the bodies of eight victims presumed killed during the eruption. Eight others are already confirmed dead.
