After a quiet few years, demand for global offshore oil and gas has shown signs of life. On Friday, the port of Shanghai saw yet another pair of drilling platforms exported, already the third and fourth units this year. Commissioned by Northern Offshore, Ltd., an affiliate of Shandong Offshore Equipment Co., Ltd, and built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, the drilling units will be working in the Middle East under contracts with local clients.
