Delegations from Japan and South Korea have met in Tokyo to discuss Japan's export restrictions which are at the centre of a trade dispute between the two countries. It's the first meeting by senior officials since Japan tightened export controls on three high-tech materials to South Korea in July, and removed the country from its "white list" of countries with fast-track trade status. South Korea nearly ended an intelligence-sharing pact with Tokyo last month. But it changed its mind and renewed the agreement just hours before it was due to expire.
