In the latest round of anti-government protests in New Delhi, capital of India, police fired tear gas to push back protesters swarming to barricades and pelting stones. The city has been rife with protests over a controversial citizenship bill which many see as being anti-Muslim. Anger with the government was stoked this week by allegations of police brutality at a university in the city. The Indian government says the law will save religious minorities from persecution in neighboring countries by granting them citizenship. However, it doesn't apply to Muslims.
