"When I was in Greenland and Pakistan, I realized during my exploration that people were also part of the scenery, interacting with nature," said Chu Weimin, the grand prize winner of the 2019 National Geographic Travel Photo Contest.

Born in the 1990s, Chu Weimin, introduced himself as an "outdoor photographer." He worked in a bank before resigning to become a full-time photographer. So far Chu has been to over 30 countries. He believes photography is a voice to influence society and let more people know the diversity of the world.
