Six South China sika deer were released to the wild in Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve in Lin'an City of east China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday after being bred in captivity. These deer are wearing tracking collars with photographic function so that researchers can monitor the deer in real time.

The South China sika deer is one of subspecies of sika deer, they are under Class One national-level protection in China. Around 300 South China sika deer live in this nature reserve. Experts say the release will help expand the distribution range and population of the deer in the region.
