Dongzhi, or Winter Solstice, is a significant event in China. One of the main customs during the one-day festival is eating dumplings. A dumpling feast is organized in central China, featuring more than 300 kinds of dumplings. Meanwhile, in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province, Winter Solstice means more than just food. Around this time, the night lasts almost 17 hours, the longest in a year.
