China has announced measures to lower overall tariffs for some imports beginning next year. The list covers nearly 860 products, and the new tariffs will be lower than those enjoyed by China's most favored trading partners. More daily necessities will be imported. Tariffs on frozen pork, frozen avocados, wood and paper products will be cut. Tariffs will be removed for alkaloid drugs and ingredients to produce diabetes medicine.
