Hong Kong police hold a daily press conference on the ongoing, months-long protests. A man who fired a shot at officers on Saturday was arrested in Tai Po district during an arrest operation. Police also arrested a male in the vicinity of a public meeting at Edinburgh Place in Central on Sunday while a large group of rioters hurled hard objects at police officers in an attempt to help the arrestee escape. The police strongly condemned the violent acts and appealed the protesters to remain rational and stop all violence.
