Six black swan cygnets were born at the Old Summer Palace, or Yuanmingyuan, in northwest Beijing.

Two of them were born on December 21, while the other four were born on December 22, Beijing Daily reported.

Many Chinese netizens have suggested naming them "Dongzhi," or Winter Solstice, as December 22 also marks the start of one of the 24 solar terms this year.

Captivated by the fluffy newborns, many visitors to the palace can be seen whipping out high-end cameras to record the warm exchange between the mother and her babies as they play.
