Though there are not many Christians in Japan, Christmas is still a festive and fun time of year. Over 300 "Santas" were on street in Tokyo during the Marunouchi Christmas Parade on Monday to celebrate the holiday.
The parade is an annual event for clerks and office workers in the area. People wear Santa Claus uniforms while dancing and marching through the Marunouchi business district with live music, filling the place with a joyful atmosphere.
With one million LED bulbs illumination, dazzling along the cobblestone streets, roadside trees, public sculptures and the reproduced facades of big banks, Marunouchi illumination is considered one of the most classic European-style Christmas displays.
