Another high tide has hit Venice, just a month after the old city was devastated by its worst flooding in half a century. Although Monday's tide peaked lower than expected, it remained above the 1.40 meter mark considered exceptional. November's flooding is estimated to have caused around 1 billion euros' worth of damage, and severely affected its tourism industry.
