Ahead of this morning's trilateral talks, Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday met with President of South Korea Moon Jae-in and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe separately in Beijing. "Switching from competition to coordination..." that's the direction President Xi is hoping for on the future development of ties with Japan. The Chinese leader added the two countries should be partners rather than threats to each other.
