Months-long violent protests in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) have badly hit local businesses, and this negative impact is also being witnessed during the ongoing festive season. Some local shop owners also expressed their concerns regarding protesters damaging their businesses, even as many shops and restaurants remain closed due to fear of violence and destruction.
