All eyes are on Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) today after Pyongyang threatened the U.S. with an unspecified "Christmas gift" if denuclearization talks failed. U.S. President Donald Trump played down the speculation that the gift could be a long-range missile test, saying it might be a "beautiful vase." The DPRK has not carried out such a test in over two years. DPRK leader Kim Jong Un earlier issued the U.S. with a December 31 deadline to make a new proposal to create a breakthrough in their stalled negotiations.
