An online campaign with the hashtag "StillNoInfo" recently went viral on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, with the goal of "finding missing Uygurs in China." People posted "lost and found" notices claiming some Uygurs are missing after China announced many trainees graduated from vocational education and training centers.
CGTN sent reporters on the ground to find out what the situation is really like. After repeated checks and verification, reporter Tao Yuan found one woman named Halinur, whose information was posted online by a relative as a missing person. Our reporter got a chance to visit her workplace and sit down for a brief interview. Halinur said the photo used in the post was taken many years ago when she got married, and she had no idea why this distant relative said she was missing. Our team is also trying to contact the relative on Twitter, but there is still no response.
