In the hit video game "The Witcher," Yennefer, a main character, is depicted to have a scent that smells like lilac and gooseberries. However, the smell remains a myth to many people who love the game and the recent Netflix's adaption.

Gooseberry

Lilac has a strong sweet fragrance. It is quite a common plant grown in many places. Gooseberry grows best in places that are humid and hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The plant, native to Europe, Asia and northern Africa, is a straggling bush that produces bell-shaped flowers and tasty berries. The berries with translucent hairy skin are usually green, but there are also red, white, and yellow variants.

Gooseberry is rich in vitamin C.

The berries are an excellent source of vitamin C. They smell good as well, slightly acidic but also sweet. Can you imagine how Yennefer smells like now?

Here are some photos of gooseberries.
