On December 24, a large number of protesters illegally rallied in Yuen Long's Yoho Mall II in Hong Kong. Some of them clashed with police officers on the second floor. A masked man ran towards and pushed a police officer to the ground before jumping over a glass railing in an attempt to escape. He landed on the ground of the first floor. The man was sent to the hospital in a conscious state and he was arrested later for "assaulting a police officer."
