China has achieved remarkable results in reducing emissions in recent years. In 2018, 338 cities at prefecture level or above across China witnessed an average of 79.3 percent of days with good air quality, up 1.3 percentage points over the year before. However, the government still needs to continue its efforts if it wants to further reduce air pollution in the near future.
