Seven people have been killed after a migrant boat sank in eastern Turkey's Lake Van. Sixty-four people were rescued and taken to nearby hospitals and shelters. Local officials say the migrants were from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Turkey has been a key transit point for migrants trying to reach Europe. Earlier this month, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Europe that Turkey could not handle a new wave of Syrian refugees. The country already hosts the largest refugee population in the world.
