Firefighters rescued a worker who accidentally fell into an elevator shaft from the 29th floor in southwest China's Liupanshui City.

A firefighter tied by ropes was lowered down the elevator shaft to reach the worker hanging from cables and another fireman used a key to open the fourth-floor lift doors to bring the worker to safety.

Reportedly, the man stepped into the shaft when the doors opened, not realizing the carriage hadn't arrived.
